PISTONHEAD RACEWAY LEAGUE INFORMATION
With our agreed objective to maintain scale racing by exclusively using hard bodies, PistonHead Raceway members will implement sanctioning rules that are clearly set out for appearance and technical standards. All events are staged under OSSM (Ontario Scale Slot Management} Regulations. New members are selected from those who clearly appreciate the club's objectives, to build, model and run scale cars mounted on stock or custom scratch built chassis. We hope that the PistonHead Raceway members capture the essence of 1:1 auto racing in all its variety.
The only formal administrative position of treasurer is filled by a volunteer member. Individual monthly member dues are $10.00 to pay for the refreshments and operating expenses.
RACE FORMATS
PistonHead Raceway members race the first Wednesday night of every month. Each weekly event focuses upon a particular car class or division determined by a random draw the week before. Racers compete in a series of sprint elimination heat races that culminate in a main event of the fastest 5 racers of the night. Each heat and main race is run at 50 laps. For each heat race the racers' assigned lanes are drawn by chance, but will eventually run on each lane at least once. Points will be given each week in all divisions and the racer with the most points at the end of the season will be deemed champion.
RACE REGULATIONS
To provide continuity, relative ease of construction, relative low cost control, and effective tech management, chassis development is limited to stock built 90 degree in-line engine/gear mountings, utilizing stock, unaltered Parma 16D stock motors.

A winning or competitive car is a reflection of the builder' s chassis engineering or designing ingenuity. Good car handling, not necessarily absolute speed, is the most important characteristic of a winning car since motor power is tightly controlled and equalized. Because body size, shape, weight distribution, affect individual car handling, many members add lead weight to tune the chassis.
